About

Yadunandana Swami — principal of Bhaktivedanta College, teacher, and spiritual counselor — is a sannyasi (monk, religious mendicant) in the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). He is an initiated disciple of His Holiness Satsvarupa Dasa Goswami and a sannyasa disciple of His Holiness Jayadvaita Swami, who are both disciples of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON.

Yadunandana Swami has been studying and practicing Caitanya Vaishnavism since 1977. Presently, his main services in ISKCON are focused on systematic God-centered education by developing educational initiatives and by teaching courses on Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam (Bhagavata Purana), and other subjects. He is convinced that such education is the best way to improve the lives of individuals, develop communities, and, ultimately, better the world.

Apart from his services in education, he is also active in interreligious dialogue and lectures on the philosophy and culture of Krishna consciousness in many countries around the world.

    Dear Yadunandana Maharaja,
Please accept my most humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Congratulations with your web site. It looks really nice and professionally done. I look forward to listen to your lectures and learning of your preaching activities.

I felt ECSTATIC and purified when reading your realisations of Lord Caitanya. I feel fortunate to have been your student for five years. I now understand that during these years I must have received some mercy from a devotee of Lord Gauranga…

“When Lord Gauracandra’s devotees, who are worshiped even by the demigods, drink the wonderfully sweet nectar of the bliss of pure love of God that flows from the lotus flower of Lord Gauracandra’s feet, they become completely intoxicated. In that condition they laugh at Lord Brahma and the other demigods, condemn the impersonalist yogis, and do not consider the great devotees of Lord Visnu who do not worship Lord Gauracandra to be very important. Let us glorify that Lord Gauracandra.”

    Dear Bhakta Rabin,

Pranams unto you. Jaya Srila Prabhupada.

Thank you very much for your kind email and for your generous words of appreciation. I am happy to be of service. Thank you also for the beautiful Caitanya-candramrta verse.

    Your servant,

  • Shri Yadunandana Swami Ji Maharaj,

    Jay Jay Shri Radhe Shyam!

I was most fortunate to have met you and be a recipient of your compassion for a few days in Melbourne during the Parliament there.

The 16th Century ‘Bhaktamaala’ tradition of writing down the deeds of prominent devotees was so popular in Sridham Vrndavana because it enabled regular people to see how to make their lives more ‘Krishna Concious’, by following the lead of these eminent devotees. Whilst it is still wonderful material to read; I feel that endeavours such as this website enables a modern readership to finally envisage exactly how to make one’s life more Vaishnava in this day and age.

I await descriptions of your exploits that become wonderous simply by their pre-dedicated nature to the lotus feet of the Lord.

  • Dear Vrajvihari Sharan Prabhu,

Jaya Jaya Shri Radhe Shyam! Hare Krishna!

Thank you very much for your generous words, which express more than I deserve.

It was very pleasing to have your association during the Parliament of World Religions in Melbourne, last December. It is indeed wonderful that Vaishnavas from different sampradayas can develop genuine friendship and, while honoring the specific qualities of each sampradaya, work together for the common cause of spreading pure bhakti for the Supreme Lord all over the world.

I wish you all success in your seva to Shri Guru and Shri Krishna.

    Daso’smi
    Yadunandana Swami
